Dr. Moreno is the Director and Health Officer for the Fresno County Department of Community Health. He provides administrative direction and public health guidance to the Department's divisions and agencies which include Environmental Health, County Office of Emergency Services, Public Health Laboratory, Central California Emergency Medical Services Agency, Communicable Disease Control, Child Health and Disability Prevention Program, Health Education and Disease Prevention Services, California Children's Services, and Maternal Child and Adolescent Health.
He participates on several local, regional and statewide boards and
committees including the Fresno County Interagency Council for Children
and Families, Central California Public Health Partnership, American
Academy of Pediatrics Northern California chapter, California Conference
of Local Health Officers and Health Officers Association of California.
He earned his Bachelor Degree from the University of Notre Dame, his
Medical Degree from the University of California, San Francisco and his
Master Degree in Public Health from California State University, Fresno.
He trained in Pediatrics at Children's Hospital Los Angeles and is
certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. He also teaches resident
physicians as Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of
California, San Francisco Medical Education Program in Fresno.
