First 5 Fresno County is an independent, public organization created to enhance the lives of children from birth through age 5. It was created after California voters passed Proposition 10, which invests tobacco tax revenues in activities that improve the lives of young children.
Overseen by a nine-member Commission appointed by the Fresno County Board of Supervisors, First 5 Fresno County has funded local service organizations, strengthened systems of care, and directly benefited the children and families of Fresno County.
